Who is better, Fiverr or Upwork?

Neither for every job. Fiverr charges buyers a 5.5% service fee on each order, plus $3.50 on orders under $200. Upwork charges a 5% marketplace fee on Basic (up to 7.99%, per its help center) plus a fee per new contract. Fiverr's fees are built around orders; Upwork's around contracts.

When Upwork is the better choice

You need a skill outside the ten roles StaffPick covers.
Small or one-off jobs: on a $300 job, a 5% fee is $15 plus the contract fee, less than a month of Hire Direct.
You want every payment to go through the marketplace instead of paying the person directly.
